Our Save A Life Fund allows us to save so many lives. By transferring our dogs to rescue groups in the Northeast, we are able to find homes for so many of the unwanted pets that come through our facility every year. May Belle was one of those dogs transferred thanks to your generous donations. Rena now known as May Belle is enjoying her new home in Chocolatetown! Here’s a letter from her new mom. She is no longer unwanted.
Good morning from Chocolatetown!
Your card said that you love updates, which is why I am writing to you this morning.
My name is Pam and my family lives in Hershey, PA. Yesterday we adopted Rena from the Lancaster shelter.
Her new name is May Belle since she is our Southern Belle. She lives in a house with two human kids and one doggie kid. Her human kids are 15 and 19, her doggie brother is a 163-pound bloodhound who has become an instant protective older brother.
She slept through the night, and has had no accidents in the house. She has a big backyard with a 6 foot fence and she has been exploring every chance she gets. She is pretty in pink with her new collar, she sleeps on the pillows with her big sister Sarah (19) and plays with brother Ryan (15).
We will keep you posted. She woke up at 5 with the rest of us and she is about ready for a nap.
Take care, and thank you for getting her to Pennsylvania so she could become a part of our family. Best, Pam
